Dominio de Punctum was born in 2005 as the initiative of three siblings with a shared goal: to produce wines that care for both our ecosystem and our palate.
Over two decades later, we continue to operate as a family-run winery, present in over 40 countries and fully committed to crafting wines that respect nature and its cycles.
From the outset, we have chosen to work with organic and biodynamic farming methods. For us, it’s more than just a certification; it’s a means of understanding the vineyard as a living ecosystem in which every plant, insect, and natural cycle has a vital purpose.
Our wines are crafted from grapes grown in our vineyards, located in the province of Cuenca at 800 meters above sea level. This privileged location, with clay-limestone soils and a continental-Mediterranean climate, gives us grapes full of flavor, freshness, and intensity.
It’s believed that winemaking began here in Roman times and flourished throughout the Middle Ages.
Sun-filled days allow the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. Cool nights preserve their acidity and enhance their aromas. As a result, the wine is expressive, balanced, and true to its origins.
At Punctum, we don’t just cultivate the land; we care for it. We are on the path to carbon neutrality certification, implementing real actions such as using 100% renewable energy, fully recycling all winery water, installing solar panels that generate over 370,000 kWh per year, and eliminating polluting materials from our packaging and production processes.
To reduce our carbon footprint and transition to a more sustainable and regenerative method of winemaking, we also support reforestation programs.
